The Happy Ambassador’s Packing List
-
All guests should plan for a camping style gathering, in the hot period of summer in the Pacific Northwest at a lower elevation land with trees and fields. We will be without cell reception in a ‘white zone’, except for outside of Kathleen’s house where there this wifi. To have a happy camping experience you will need to bring the following items.
-A tent with a rainfly and ground tarp if tent camping. Otherwise car and RV camping is common.
-Sleeping bags, blankets or warm blankets to keep you and or your family warm at night.
-A pillow and at least one thick sleeping pad.
-Flashlights, lanterns, and batteries (rechargable is recommended) unless they are solar powered.
-A camp stove with your own propane or other fuel source and lighter or method of cooking your meals.
-Food for each meal of each day that you will be at the event. An ice chest with ice to keep your cold food cold. You will need to go into town to replace your ice at least once throughout the weekend. Your culinary needs will be your responsibility at the 2026 gathering. We will not be cooking meals for everyone.
-Cooking and eating utensils for yourself and or your family.
-Snacks to share. Some salty snacks to balance your electrolytes are recommended. Heat and intensive channeling or high frequency energy exposure can leave you unbalanced.
-A steal, copper, glass or other water bottle. Plastic water bottles should have a recyclable symbol with a 5 to be considered safe to drink from. Glass water jugs are also recommended to fill up well water from the spigot. There are no well water spigots at the campsites.
-Dish soap, a scrub brush, sponge or tools to clean your dishes. We will not have a communal dish washing station setup at the 2026 gathering.
-A sunhat, non-aerosol sunscreen and sunglasses.
-Clothes for summer days and layers for cold nights. A change of clothes for every day is recommended. There are no showers at Dragons Gate, and you are likely to sweat on hot days.
-Deodorant to mask your BO that may occur
-Your own roll of toilet paper. Synthetic wipes are not recommended to discard in the outhouse or port-a-potty. Hand sanitizer is recommended.
-All natural or herbal bug repellent. You are asked to not bring aerosol style spray bug repellents. Deet containing bug repellent is recommended against. Cedar, citronella, citrus and mint are common herbal oils you can use yo keep bugs away.
-Books, board games, binoculars, a green or red laser pointer (for pointing out moving objects at nighttime skywatches)
-An item or items for the trade blanket ceremony. These should be clean usable items of value, metaphysical/spiritual value. Such items could be crystals, art pieces, orgonite, tapestries, smudge sticks or herbs, blankets, ceremonial tools, rare/old books, or anything else that you have received value from in the past.
-An attitude that is really pleasant to hang out with and lifts the spirits of those around you.
